Your Organ Aorta
Educated Patients Lead to Better Care
Empowering patients and families to understand, protect, and manage their organ aorta.
One pulsewave at a time.
The aorta is the body’s vital main artery: “The Organ Aorta is the central pathway sustaining every organ, every tissue, and every system in the human body.”
When your aorta is healthy, your entire body benefits. When it becomes weakened or damaged, the consequences can be serious and often occur without warning.
Aortic disease is known as a silent killer because it can progress quietly, long before symptoms appear. The good news: many risks can be detected early, monitored, and managed with the right knowledge and timely action.
This platform is designed to help you take control of your vascular health. Here you’ll find easy-to-understand, medically reviewed information about how the aorta works, which factors increase risk, what early signs to pay attention to, and how modern screening and imaging can identify problems before they become dangerous.
Whether you want to protect your long-term health, support a loved one, or better understand your own risk profile, we’re here to guide you. Prevention starts with awareness, and small steps today can make a life-saving difference tomorrow.
Your aorta is central to your life. Understanding it is the first step toward protecting it. For yourself, and for those who depend on you.

Overview of the Anatomy
The aorta is the body’s largest artery. It carries oxygen-rich blood from the heart to every organ and tissue. Starting at the heart, it travels upward, makes a curve, then descends through the chest and belly, giving off branches that supply blood to the brain, arms, legs, and vital organs.
The aorta is essential for life; healthy blood flow depends on its strength and shape. Problems with the aorta, like tears or bulges, can be very serious.

Marfan syndrome
About 90% of people with Marfan syndrome develop changes in their heart and blood vessels. Changes that can develop include: Aortic aneurysm. The walls of the aorta, the major artery that carries blood from the heart to the rest of your body, become weak, bulge out and could rupture (burst).
About Aortic Association
Founded in 2018, the Aortic Association is an independent scientific platform focusing on aortic medicine. Our goal is to strategically engage with stakeholders in clinics and politics, to advance the standards and understanding for therapy for aortic diseases.
With this Platform, we strive to provide understandable knowledge to Aortic patients, and guide them to accredited specialists. That way we can achieve the highest success for Aortic procedures and disease prevention, while enabling patients to feel ownership over their medical decisions.
